Anuncia la puesta en marcha de la expansión de la planta Punta Cana 11, cuatro grandes parques solares y sistemas de almacenamiento energético para garantizar energía confiable al turismo
Madrid, 22 de enero de 2025. En el marco de la Feria Internacional de Turismo (FITUR), el Consorcio Energético Punta Cana-Macao (CEPM) dio a conocer sus planes estratégicos para 2025, reafirmando su compromiso con el desarrollo energético sostenible y el fortalecimiento del turismo en la región este de la República Dominicana.
Los planes de CEPM para 2025 incluyen innovaciones como la integración de inteligencia artificial y soluciones tecnológicas para optimizar la gestión energética y la experiencia del cliente.
Como parte de su iniciativa CEPM Zero, la empresa expandirá su capacidad de generación en 2025 mediante la ampliación de la planta Punta Cana 11, incorporando cuatro motores Wärtsilä de alta eficiencia, con una capacidad combinada de 37.05 MW. Este proyecto garantiza una generación firme mientras facilita la integración progresiva de energías renovables.
Además, CEPM pondrá en marcha 4 parques solares de aproximadamente 15 MWp, 55 MWp, 55 MWp y 78 MWp respectivamente, alcanzando un total de 203 MWp de capacidad solar instalada, junto con un sistema de almacenamiento energético (BESS) de 115 MWh, distribuido en 7 puntos estratégicos a lo largo de la red de CEPM, para afianzar la confiabilidad del suministro energético y satisfacer las necesidades de la creciente demanda hotelera en su área de concesión.
En 2025, CEPM lanzará nuevas plataformas de atención al cliente que integrarán inteligencia artificial, optimizando la experiencia de más de 68,000 clientes residenciales, comerciales y hoteleros. Además, ampliará sus redes de transmisión y distribución, para garantizar un suministro energético eficiente y acompañar el desarrollo sostenido de la zona. A su vez, implementará mejoras en la comunicación de medidores, optimizando la conexión con el sistema para ofrecer un servicio más rápido y fluido.
