En el marco de Fitur 2025, el director municipal de Verón-Punta Cana, Ramón Ramírez "Manolito" participó en la apertura oficial de la feria, el pasado miércoles 22 y participó en varias actividades, incluyendo la reunión con el Banco Popular Dominicano. Además sostuvo reuniones con los presidentes del Cabildo Insular de la Gomera y el presidente del Cabildo de Lanzarote, los señores Casimiro Curbelo y Oswaldo Betancort.

Una reunión en el emblemático lugar, dió como resultado una visita formal de las autoridades de Distrito Turístico Verón-Punta Cana, a los Cabildos de Lanzarote y la Gomera.
Para luego formalizar los hermanamientos entre Verón-Punta Cana y ambas ciudades (La Gomera y Lanzarote).
